On the outside of the envelope- "Lauching submarine v-6. 1930." Negative shows Jean Keesling, wearing a flapper style costume (with a close fitting hat) and holding a large bouquet in her left arm, walking up the gang plank with a naval officer. Keesling christened the submarine. At the base of the plank is a group of people milling around, both civilian and military.
