The morning after the student siege of Moses Hall, the small plaza in front of the building is filled with desks, chairs, and office supplies that were taken from the building or used in the barricade. UC employees sift through the mess. On October 23-24, 1968, U.C. Berkeley students took over several campus buildings, including Sproul Hall, Dwinelle Hall, Campbell Hall, and Moses Hall, to protest, among other things, the denial of course credit to a class about racism that featured Eldridge Cleaver as a guest lecturer.
