Handwritten on the back, "Mayors from nearby cities. August 5, 1929." There are five men in the photo. They are all mayors, supposedly. The fourth man, from left to right, is recognizably Mayor Davie. There is no indication of who the other men are but they have gathered for the opening day of the new Capwell's building on 2oth and Broadway in Oakland. The men will probably be admitted onto the bandstand at the opening where various men will give speeches. In this photo, they are standing in a room with pictures displayed on a board behind them.
