Anti Apartheid demonstration/march in Oakland- San Pablo Ave." Tribune caption, June 15, 1986- "Some 600 people marched from Oakland city Hall to Mosswood Park to commemorate Soweto uprising in South Africa a decade ago." Photo shows a large group of racially mixed people walking up the street toward the photographer. They are carrying signs and banners. The first signs at the head of the column says "Remember Soweto. Victory to the ANC and Swapo South Africa and Namibia will be free.
