I don't know why I photographed a Chinese dinner or for whom. It might have been made to illustrate how to use chopsticks." "When I first moved to San Francisco, there was a group, Maynard Dixon was sort of the chief of the group, who used to go for lunch every day to Sun Hun Hueng, which is still a good restaurant opposite Portsmith Square. We had a table in front where this informal group always met and they would ask the waiter to bring what was the best for that day. This enormous array of absolutely delicious food would arrive, a great Chinese banquet. But the rule was one ate with chopsticks or went hungry, and so you damn well soon learned to eat with chopsticks and really savored the food."
