[There were many strategies used to oppose the war in Vietnam. In 1970, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts challenged the Constitutionality of the Vietnam War, and passed a law stating that no resident of Massachusetts "shall be required to serve" in the armed forces abroad if the armed hostility has not been declared a war by Congress." -LMC]
