Original envelope read, "Columbus Day. Coronation of Oakland's first Columbus Day princess, Rose Arinal (/), 10-12-12. Doing the honors is G. Ghiglireri (?) manager Halour Popular Bank." Negative shows a young woman sitting on a "throne" on a low platform. She is wearing a formal dress with a long cape or train. A man is standing next to her, putting a crown the the woman's head. Several other young people are standing around the platform, they are the "courtiers." To the right is a band sitting in chairs.
