Handwritten on the back, "C.E. Capwell. First shovelful of earth." Mr. Capwell is shown holding on to a digging/excavating machine and smiling. A man next to him pulls a lever and digs the first shovelful of earth on the construction site of the new H.C. Capwell building. Three other suited men stand in the shadows. The side of the excavator reads "J. Catucci". C.E. Capwell is H.C. Capwell's son. He is assistant secretary and treasurer and director of the H.C. Capwell Co. in 1927 when Capwell's is bought by Emporium. C.E. Capwell later resigns along with his father and T.S. Sullivan and E.H. Furth to start "Capwell, Sullivan and Furth". Originally part of an Album #105 (Not original number, but original order.)
