Taken from the balcony of the Student Union on the U.C. Berkeley campus, this photograph shows the crowd of demonstrators that filled Sproul Plaza to block a police car from leaving the plaza. One demonstrator (Mario Savio?) stands atop the police car and delivers an impromptu speech to the crowd.
