An aerial view of Acorn Plaza with downtwon Oakland in the background. City Hall is one of the major buildings in the background. The Tribune clipping, dated Friday November 1, 1985, attached to the back of the photo reads "Acorn Plaza Shopping Center at 10th and Market streets in West oakland is having financial woes." The Acorn Super[mmarket] and its outlying retail stores is at the center of the photo. A scattering of automobiles is in the parking lot in front of the market.
