Handwritten on the back, "T.W. Sullivan." Photo shows a man wearing a suit holding a bucket in both hands and acting like he is going to throw the contents of the bucket at the camera. He is wearing eyeglasses and has a cigar clamped between his teeth. He appears to be standing on the roof, possibly of the new Capwells building being built at 20th and Broadway. In the months prior to the opening of the new H.C. Capwell store at 20th and Broadway, the owners of the old Capwells store, who held key positions in the new company, decided to resign, en masse. They feared the new store would be located to far uptown. They resigned and opened a new store- Capwell, Sullivan and Furth at the lotion of the old Capwell store at 14th & Clay. Members of the new firm were C.E. Capwell, T.W. Sullivan, and E.H. Furth. Originally part of large photo album, #8. [not original number but in original order.]
