Caption from Tribune, April 28, 1973 "Viet Prison Raiders, Ex-POWs on Parade- Former POWs of Son Tay prison and the Green Berets who tried to rescue them climbed aboard motorized cable cars for a Financial District parade in San Francisco yesterday. A flock of balloons (left) heads skyward as the cavalcade passes along California Street and (below) a secretary tosses confetti at a carload of Green Berets. Actor John Wayne and Mrs. Ronald Reagan (right) attended a luncheon for the POWs and raiders following the parade. Others at the lunch included Cmdr. Render Crayton, senior POW at Son Tay, comic Red Skelton, actor Ernest Borgnine, Maj. Gen. Leroy Manor, who planned the daring raid, and retired Col. Arthur Simons, leader of the Green Berets. The POWs arranged the reunion with the financial help of Texas millionaire H. Ross Perot." Handwritten on the back, "A pretty Miss passing out confetty to Raiders."
