A phalanx of National Guard troops clears Telegraph Avenue beginning with the intersection at Dwight Way. Carrying rifles and bayonets, the troops slowly advance up the street towards the UC campus a few blocks away. Some people watch the action from the rooftop of a neighboring building, others stand on the sidewalks south of Dwight Way.
