History: Rastis Philo Fleming (donor's grand father) raised his family in Iowa coming to California ca. 1900 - he was a violin maker. His wife Martha had four children; Fanny, Charles, Ruth (donor's mother) Lulu and George. R. P. Fleming came to Fillmore, California, where oil fields were in production, where his son-in-law Edward Chippen worked as a superintendent. Son George went off to World War I from Fillmore.
