Original envelope read, "Oakland Aerials & Vistas, 1960--1969." From caption pasted to back of photograph, "A hit-run thundershower pelted the Bay Area for a few drenched minutes this morning, then moved across the Berkeley hills. Infra-red film used for this photo, taken from atop the Tribune Tower, highlights the thunderclouds and turns the bright sky that followed the downpour black. The brief shower was preceded by a bright racing flash of lightning and a tremendous roll of thunder. Then the rain fell like drops of melted honeyand a rainbow formed in the sky. Clear skies will prevail tomorrow." In photograph, taken from Tribune Tower, view of Oakland is seen looking east towards the Oakland hills. Lake Merritt is seen at bottom of photograph. Stamped on back of photograph, "Robert Stinnett." "August 16 1966.
