Content description:
Photo is a section of a panorama that was made of three separate photographs taped together. [H96.1.164, H97.1.165, and H97.1.166]. Handwritten on the back, "Taken from top of Fairmount Hotel, showing Hall of Justice on Kearne (dark bldg. left of center) and Merchants Exchange (at right)." Photo shows the gutted remains of buildings almost all the way down the the Bay. Some of the buildings only have walls still standing and nothing else. In the distance can be seen the Bay with a few ships. Also in the distance is the Ferry Building.
