A27 is part of a series I did in the 1930's I would think, mid-1930's. Trying to drum up business, I thought of the idea of doing semi cartoon-like portraits of the advertising executives of various accounts that agencies had in San Francisco. And for free, these pictures went to the Western Advertising Magazine and were usually given full page publicity.
