Tribune captions on the back, August 16, 1948: "Cookie Lavagetto slides home with first Oak run in first game against Seals yesterday in Emeryville. Seal catcher is Will Leonard. Umpire is Gordon Ford. The Seals won, 5-3. Oaks took game in San Francisco, 12-7.- Tribune photo." Photo shows Lavagetto sliding into home.
