Contact sheet of sixteen photos - three rows of 35mm. Two of the strips of photographs show a political protest by members of the Ad Hoc Committee to End Discrimination. They are protesting discriminatory hiring practices by the Oakland Tribune. Photos show protesters near the entrance to the Tribune's loading dock. Several of the photos feature adults (protesters?) walking with or holding young children. The third strip of photos shows a counterdemonstration. A line of people demonstrating against the Ad Hoc Committee to End Discrimination stands in front of the Oakland Tribune building. These protesters have unfurled a long banner and also carry large signs with slogans, such as: "Ad Hoc Committee and White Citizens Counsel Go Home" and "Wm Knowland is Fair and Right".
