The new Alameda County Courthouse under construction; backed with linen, with a three hole punched margin at the proper right side. The bottom section of the building is complete (no windows) but there is still scaffolding around the upper portions. Fallon Street goes all the way across the east side of the building. (Currently this is interrupted by the site of the Oakland Museum of California.) Signs about the Alameda County Court House refer to it as "Federal Public Works Project 2461." There are cars on the street, and parked at the curbs. In the distance, on the proper right side of the building is the top of the Oakland City Hall. On the proper left side, in the distance is the mission revival structure - Madison Street Masonic Temple. Across the street from the court house (where the Oakland Museum of California now stands) is either an automobile salesroom, or an automobile supply store. A sign in the window reads: "Raytheon 4 pillar radio tubes," another: "Auto Radio," and "RCA." A billboard on the top of the building says "...The Complete Car, ...Hydraulic Brakes.
