The Tribune photo, dated July 1, 1937, has the following caption on the back: "NEW TRIB COLUMN MAKES DEBUT TODAY ................................in today's column. financing for the $171 million Okalnd Federal Building is imminent, signalling that the long-stalled project may get started by the end of October." The photo is of an architectural model of the Federal Building's two parts, each connected by a bridge at the 13th [?] floor. Neighboring buildings are also included in the model. The two buildings each come to a point at the roof, each one having a mast.
