Copies of two photographs of the same street scene at Washington and Mason Streets. The top photo is after the 1906 Earthquake and the bottom photo is after the fire. The top photo shows little damage to the buildings. Smoke from the fire below these streets is shown in the air. However, after the fire many of the buildings are destroyed and one can now see the San Francisco's Bay which was before obscured by the buildings.
