The seven men are all standing on a beam supposedly on the building of the new H.C. Capwell store. The groundbreaking for the new store on 20th and Broadway was February 15 1928 and it opened a year later. All seven men are holding their hats and looking down below them. Edgar Bell is unknown. A.J. Evers is unknown E.H. Furth was the controller of the H.C. Capwell Co. in 1927. He resigned in 1929 along with other top executives in the company who in the months prior to the opening of the new H.C. Capwell store at 20th and Broadway decided to resign, en masse. They feared the new store would be located to far uptown. They resigned and opened a new store-"Capwell, Sullivan and Furth" at the location of the old Capwell store at 14th & Clay. Members of the new firm were C.E. Capwell, T.W. Sullivan, and E.H. Furth. E.C. Lipman is sent over to Capwell's from Emporium in 1927. His position at Emporium is unclear but he is made a manager at H.C. Capwell co.in 1927. He is then made vice president of H.C. Capwell Co. in 1929. He also becomes the manager of H.C. Capwell Co. in 1930. In 1936 he is made the managing director of H.C. Capwell Co. In 1937 he gives up this position to succeed R.P. Connally as the managing director of the Emporium. L.F. Dinkelspiel is a superintendent at the H.C. Capwell Co. in 1927. In 1932 he replaces H. Haber as manager of Capwell's Ready-to-Wear and gives up his Capwell's superintendent job to L.W. Siebert. He resigns in December of 1937. C.E. Capwell is H.C. Capwell's son. In 1927 when his father is chairman of the board, C.E. Capwell is made assistant secretary and treasurer and director of the H.C. Capwell Co. In 1929 he resigns along with Furth and Sullivan and his father to start "Capwell, Sullivan and Furth" (see Furth). T.W. Sullivan was the merchandise manager at H.C. Capwell Co. in 1927. He resigned in 1929. (see Furth).
