Below the eagle is a white banner with "Sunday, Feb. 6, 1977 a.d. 4:00 pm at Newman Ctr. 5900 Newman Court/ Community is invited to meet with u.f.w. organizing committee. the u.f.w. needs your support!!" Below the banner is "boycott gallo! boycott coors!" [This poster mentions the two largest consumer boycotts at the time, the UFW one (which was about California lettuce and grapes, including wine from grapes - thus the Gallo reference) and a broader national AFL-CIO boycott of Coors beer for bad labor practices (1978-1987). -LMC]
