Content description:
Enormous lines of parked cars fill part of a vacant field next to the R. Stanley Dollar ranch estate in Saranap, Contra Costa County. The estate is hidden by large groupings of trees. The Oakland Tribune of August 20, 1956, reported that the more than 4,000 "enthusiastic Republicans" flocked to the Dollar ranch. The line of approaching cars seems endless.
