This was an ad for the Golden State Dairy and it had to do with their supervision of dairy sanitation. The Golden Sate Dairy Company at that time had a president who had been either a professor at Davis or one of the state health control people dealing with milk. The company's standards of sanitation at that time were one step ahead of the legal requirements of the sated. The stated of California usually stepped up their retirements because of Golden State Company rules.(Roger Sturtevant interview with Joyce Minnick)
