A male protester is being arrested by three University of California police officers. The demonstrator is lying on the ground, and, as he covers his head with his right arm, he gives the peace symbol with his left hand. The officers are dressed in riot gear. Two of the officers hold their billy clubs in one hand and grab the protester with their free hand. The third officer, who is only partially visible, stands off to one side. The incident occurs at the edge of a grassy, tree-lined open space (located on UC Berkeley campus?). On the opposite side of this grassy area a man standing behind a low hedge photographs the arrest.
